Drummer impresses by playing Slipknot cover with one arm; watch

Jack Thomas lost his upper limb in a workplace accident

Drummer Jack Thomas Slipknot 's "Duality," played with only one arm. The musician lost his right arm at age 17.

“I was working at a transport company and I tripped and fell,” Jack revealed (via Loudwire ). “Before I could even fight for myself, my arm was severed. I had to go in and get help, and that’s when I heard, ‘Sorry buddy, your arm’s gone.’ Hearing those words as a human being isn’t something you know how to react to. We’re supposed to go through life with all our organs. Being a drummer, that’s kind of the kind of thing that ends your career. You kind of need every organ you have to play the instrument you play.”

The track from the album Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) (2004) is not one of the band's easiest songs to perform, as it involves a great deal of technique. This reaffirms the importance of music's role in the young man's life, who has always faced the tragic situation as a new challenge.

Previously, Thomas also Rancid cover on bass .
