On the 13th, 23-year-old drummer Tom Grosset broke the world record for fastest drummer. At the Summer NAMM music fair in Nashville, the drummer hit 1,208 beats in 60 seconds.
The previous record, achieved in 2003 by Dream Theater drummer Mike Mangini, was 1203 beats in one minute. Watch the video of the record being broken below:
