Drew Struzan, illustrator of iconic album and film covers, dies at age 78.

The artist gained prominence by redesigning movie posters such as 'Blade Runner' and 'Back to the Future', and album covers like 'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' by Black Sabbath.

Drew Struzan , the illustrator famous for creating some of the most famous movie posters in the world and some rock album covers, died last Tuesday, the 14th, at the age of 78.

The news was announced by Greg , the artist's manager, through his official Instagram account :

"It is with sadness that I inform you that Drew Struzan left this world yesterday, October 13th. I feel it is important for everyone to know how many times he expressed to me the joy he felt knowing how much you appreciated his art."

Drew Struzan gained prominence by redesigning movie posters such as Blade Runner, Back to the Future, The Goonies, Rambo, and Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope , among others. The artist also illustrated album covers such as Black Sabbath 's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1973), Alice Cooper 's Welcome to My Nightmare (1975), and The Beach Boys ' LA (Light Album) (1979).
