The new song will be part of Dream Theater's upcoming album, Distance Over Time.

Dream Theater has revealed the new song “Untethered Angel”. It is the first release from the band's upcoming album, Distance Over Time . The album is scheduled for release on February 22, 2019.

According to the band, Distance Over Time rediscovered a creative side to Dream Theater while maintaining the band's core elements. This will also be the first release on the band's new label, InsideOut Music. The album was produced by guitarist John Petrucci .
