Kevin Moore , former keyboardist and composer for Dream Theater , currently pursues a completely different profession and works as a psychiatrist in the United States.
Before pursuing his vocation in Medicine, the current Dr. Moore was responsible for the keyboards on the classic albums When Dream and Day Unite (1989), Images and Words (1992) and Awake (1994), leaving the band soon after to record solo material. In the following years, the musician also recorded with Fates Warning , OSI and Chroma Key .
A graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University in Iowa, Kevin Moore is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. His profile on the Trinity Health , a Catholic healthcare system in the US, highlights that he “has experience as a professional musician, initially as a member of a successful rock band and later as a solo artist and film score composer,” without naming the bands.
