Dragonforce announces new drummer.

Dave Mackintosh will be working with Progressive Rock.

DragonForce announced yesterday the replacement of their drummer. Musician Dave Mackintosh left the band and was replaced by Gee Anzalone, who previously played in Braindamage and Kill Ritual.

Anzalone will make his debut with the band in September, when DragonForce kicks off a series of shows in the UK to promote their upcoming album, “Maximum Overload”.

Mackintosh posted a statement saying he will pursue a career in Progressive Rock, and wishing the band luck: “I wish the guys the best of luck in the world, and I’m looking forward to the release of “Maximum Overload”, which I truly think is the best album we’ve ever recorded.”

DragonForce guitarist Herman Li also commented on Mackintosh's departure: "We went through a lot with Dave and I would like to thank him for everything he contributed to DragonForce, as a friend and as a musician."

DragonForce's new album, "Maximum Overload," is scheduled for release on August 18th.
