Dragonforce announced this Wednesday, the 6th, Alissa White-Gluz, formerlyof Arch Enemy, as their newest member and first vocalist.
The band will debut with Alissa White-Gluz this Saturday, the 9th, at Welcome To Rockville, and will also kick off the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of Inhuman Rampage, released in 2006, and responsible for the global phenomenon "Through the Fire and Flames," which achieved platinum status and remained on the Billboard 200 for 23 consecutive weeks.
Guitarist Herman Li commented on Alissa's joining the band: “Her joining expands everything we’ve done so far. Twenty years is a long time for anything, let alone surviving in the music industry and still feeling inspired to keep doing what we love. Together, we will honor what made Inhuman Rampage relevant, while showing people exactly where we’re going. Having Alissa in the band changes everything. She doesn’t just sing, she enhances every aspect of our music. And she sounds incredible live! I can’t wait for the fans to see her and hear what we’ve been working on.”
Alissa White-Gluz is excited to become the frontwoman of Dragonforce: “I’m extremely excited to bring such iconic songs to life with these incredibly talented musicians in such a fun and inspiring environment. It’s great to be able to showcase all the nuances of my voice and utilize all my vocal styles in technically challenging, deeply energizing, and highly addictive songs. I’m so grateful for the incredible support I’ve been fortunate enough to receive from the metal world throughout this amazing career I’ve built. I want to continue pushing my boundaries and delivering exceptional music and live experiences to the fans I love so much.”
Dragonforce had already worked with Alissa. In 2025, the band released a new version of the track "Burning Heart," featuring the vocalist – who at the time was still in Arch Enemy.
