Download , one of Europe's biggest rock and metal festivals, has officially cancelled its 2021 edition , but confirmed that next year's will take place and will feature big names like Iron Maiden, KISS and Biffy Clyro . Now, the organization has announced the new lineup.
Deftones, Korn and Megadeth joined the 2022 lineup alongside The Pretty Reckless, Rise Against, Theory, Black Label Society, Monster Truck, Those Damn Crows, The Raven Age, Powerwolf and Wayward Sons.
The festival will take place between June 10-12 at Donington Park in the United Kingdom. Megadeth will headline the second stage on the 10th, marking the band's first time at the festival in 2016. Steel Panther will also perform on this stage, but on Sunday.
The second stage will also host The Distillers, The Darkness, Airbourne, Skillet, Daughtry, Bush, Lacuna Coil, Ayron Jones, Of Mice & Men, Wednesday 13, Massive Wagons, The Last Internationale and Control the Storm.
On the Avalanche stage there will be performances by Boston Manor, Sleep Token, The Faim, Trash Boat, Marianas Trench, grandson, Holding Absence, Wargasm, Loathe, Press Club, Jamie Lenman, The Hara, Salem, Blackout Problems, Cemetery Sun, Dead Posey and Static Dress.
Electric Wizard will headline the Dogtooth stage on Friday and Sepultura on Saturday. The stage will also host Blues Pills, Dying Fetus, Bleed From Within, Twin Temple, Venom Prison, Bokassa, Tempt, Fire From the Gods, AA Williams, Higher Power, Kill the Lights, Modern Error, Cellar Door Moon Crow, Lotus Eater, The Scratch, Dead Label, Phoxjaw, Anchor Lane, As Everything Unfolds, Temples on Mars and The Injester.
