The album will be the first with new material
Def Leppard vocalist Joe Elliott's project is set to release its third studio album in 2019.
For the first time, Down 'N' Outz will have an album of original material. Their first two albums, My ReGeneration and The Further Adventures Of… , contain covers of artists who cite Mott The Hoople as inspiration. Mott, British Lions, and Ian Hunter are some of the names.
Now, his new album will feature tracks written by Elliott but still with influences from Mott The Hoople. “I’m writing songs that wouldn’t fit into Def Leppard but are great for me. It’s really good to get these ideas out of my head because some of them came about years ago and now I have a place for them ,” he says.
Down 'N' Outz was founded in 2009 and, in addition to Elliott on vocals, guitar and keyboards, the band features Paul Guerin (guitar), Guy Griffin (guitar), Keith Weir (keyboards), Phil Martini (drums) and Share Ross (bass).
