Down guitarist says band won't break up because of Anselmo's mistake.

Kennan speaks in an interview

In a new interview with Metal Wani, Down guitarist Pepper Kennan spoke about the band's future after Phil Anselmo's controversial behavior in January . According to the musician, Anselmo's mistake doesn't mean the end of the band:

“Down didn't do anything wrong. I mean, we're guilty by association with that. But it was Phil's mistake. I talked to him and told him to sort out those issues, and he's doing that. He knows he made a mistake and that it was stupid. I've known Phil almost all my life. He's not what all that made him seem. But yes, of course there's a future for Down. I wouldn't throw everything away, all the beautiful music we've made, for a stupid moment that was captured on video and for which
he apologized . So we're far from over.”
Because Phil Anselmo's white power outburst cannot be ignored.

Since Dimebash, Down has been removed from the Hellfest and FortaRock festivals, and cancelled their performance at Download.
