Guitarist releases statement about leaving
Doug Aldrich, Whitesnake's guitarist for the past 11 years, left the band this weekend. Aldrich released the following statement on his official Facebook page:
"I thank my big brother David for the incredible journey we've had together! So many songs, tours, projects, always inspiring and encouraging each other! I'd like to thank the loyal Whitesnake fans around the world. You've been amazing to me, it's an honor to play for you in Whitesnake.".
I love you all and I'll see you again. Thank you for your support. I don't know how the rumors started that I would pursue a solo career, but it's not true. I have no plans to go solo. I'm just no longer in Whitesnake. As soon as I know what I'm going to do, I'll let you all know, but for now, know that I appreciate the support and hope to make a joint statement with David Coverdale soon.”
