Doro Pesch gave an interview to Scott Itter of Dr. Music , in which she was asked about children and marriage.

The vocalist responded ( via Blabbermouth ): “What you see is what you get. I’m usually always on tour or in the studio. That’s definitely my world. And I’ve never thought about settling down, getting married, or having kids. Maybe another life, but not really. I have a friend – yes, he’s kind of a boyfriend – and I have a lot of friends. I’ve never felt the urge to get married and have kids.”

She continues: “I made up my mind when I was 24. One day I was waking up. I was living in New York City, which I love so much, New York. And then I woke up and thought, ‘Okay, today I’m going to choose my priorities.’ And then I thought, ‘What do I really want?’ And then it became clear. I want to make music and I want to make people happy, empower people. And I want to do that for the fans as long as I live. And that’s my life. I don’t have many hobbies either. It’s just the studio, working on music, touring, rehearsing, doing things for the fans. And yes, that’s it.”

“I wouldn’t want any other life. When I was younger, I was a graphic artist, which was really cool because I could always work with graphic artists or painters. So that always helped when we were creating the visuals for ourselves,” she concluded.

Retirement

In October, Doro Pesch released her album Conqueress – Forever Strong and Proud and discussed a possible retirement in an interview with Belgian Jasper .

The singer revealed that this is not in her plans ( via Blabbermouth ) : “I spend 24 hours [a day] thinking about new songs, the album, the tour, the festivals. There is no other life. I grew up with horses and I miss having pets in my life… But for me, I made that decision at 24.”
