Doro Pesch released her newest studio album, Conqueress – Forever Strong and Proud, in celebration of her 40-year career.

Along with the release of the new work, the queen of metal also made available a cover version with Rob Halford of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse Of The Heart".

In addition to this collaboration, there are two more on Conquerors – Forever Strong and Proud . The aforementioned duo also worked together on “Living After Midnight,” and Doro collaborated with Sammy Amara on “Bond Unending.”

Regarding collaborations with Halford, the singer said on the show Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk ( via Blabbermouth ): “I was a big Priest fan, and it was my first big tour in 1986. And [Rob and I] met [again] last year in France, at Hellfest, a big festival. And then we were talking, having a good time. And then we said, 'Hey, let's do something together.' So we did two duets.”

She explained the reasons for choosing the songs: “The first one is 'Living After Midnight'. That was my choice because I loved singing it. It's always been a cheerful song. And then Rob Halford said, 'I have the song I've always wanted to do with you. It's 'Total Eclipse Of A Heart'.' And it turned out great. When you listen to it, you can tell Rob loves the song, and I'm very happy. Even two duets, man. That's more than I could ask for. I'm a lucky baby, I tell you.”

Still celebrating four decades of her career, Doro will perform a show this Saturday, the 28th, in Düsseldorf, at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle.
