Doro Pesch – also known as Doro – will be in Brazil in May to perform on Friday, May 2nd, as a warm-up for Bangers Open Air – tickets on sale now .
In a phone interview to discuss the festival , Doro exclusively revealed to Wikimetal that she is working on a new album in tribute to Lemmy Kilmister , the late vocalist of Motörhead , and her personal friend. According to the German vocalist, the project should be released sometime in 2025.
“I’m working on an album for Lemmy called Rock Till Death , to honor him,” he revealed during the conversation. “It will probably be released by the end of this year, because Lemmy was my best friend, and we have many songs that we sang together, so it will be fascinating!”
The friendship between Dorothy and Lemmy is something the singer keeps very much alive, even 10 years after the vocalist's death. Over the years, Pesch has paid numerous tributes to her friend and mentioned him again in 2023, highlighting his sensitive nature (via Whiplash ). "He was so sensitive, very intelligent. Very, very thoughtful. Very emotional."
At Bangers Open Air, Doro will perform on the warm-up , along with other acts such as Glenn Hughes, Pretty Maids, Dogma , and many more!
