Dolores O'Riordan

Dolores O'Riordan was going to record vocals for a heavy metal band before she passed away.

She was to participate in the Bad Wolves' version of "Zombie"

Dolores O'Riordan, frontwoman of The Cranberries, passed away last Monday, the 15th, in London at the age of 46. The singer was in the British capital to participate in a song for the heavy metal band Bad Wolves.

The information was revealed by the band themselves, who said they intended to record a cover of the hit “Zombie” and invited Dolores to participate in the track. Check out the statement from Tommy Vext, the band's vocalist, below:

"We are shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Dolores' death just hours before she was due to record her vocals for our version of 'Zombie'. We always deeply respected her as an artist and vocalist, and she was never afraid to put her soul into her music and lyrics.".

'Zombie' is an incredibly personal song, and despite being a Hard Rock band, we always felt the purity and honesty she projected on stage and in her recordings. It was something every band would like to have, regardless of musical genre. When we found out she liked our version and wanted to sing on it, it was the greatest compliment for a new band, or for any band, really.

Our hearts are broken that we didn't get the chance to see this collaboration completed, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and fans in Ireland and around the world. We hope we can still make her proud by sharing our version of 'Zombie' with the world.”

There is still no information about the cause of Dolores' death.
