Boyfriend and bandmate, Olek Koretsky feels "lost"
Dolores O'Riordan's boyfriend released a statement about the singer's death, calling her "the love of my life .
Ole Koretsky, O'Riordan's bandmate in DARK, used the band's official website to speak about the loss:
“My friend, partner, and love of my life is gone. My heart is broken and far from being mended. Dolores is beautiful. Her art is beautiful. Her family is beautiful. The energy she continues to radiate is undeniable. I am lost. I miss her so much. I will continue wandering this planet for some time knowing that there is no place for me here now.”
Andy Rourke (The Smiths), bassist who accompanies the duo on DARK, took the opportunity to write a few words about his partner and friend:
“I am heartbroken and devastated by the news of Dolores’ sudden and unexpected death. I cherished the time we spent together and feel privileged to have had her as a close friend. Working with her in our band DARK was a bonus and a chance to see her incredible, unique talent firsthand. I will miss her terribly. My love and deepest sympathies go out to her family and colleagues.”
Irish singer Dolores O'Riordan died at age 46 on January 15th in London. Information regarding the cause of her death has not yet been revealed.
