Dolly Parton will make a rock album with Steven Tyler, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks and more.

The album 'Rock Star' will feature covers and original tracks and is expected to be released sometime in 2023.

With her nomination to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, Dolly Parton promised she would make a rock album , and now she's keeping her word.

The album Rock Star will be the country singer's first in the mainstream genre. The project is expected to be released later this year and will feature collaborations with big names such as Steven Tyler , Paul McCartney , Steve Perry , and Stevie Nicks , as well as the great pop singer Cher .

The guest list was revealed during an interview with Dolly Parton on the American talk show The View . Dolly's new album will consist of original tracks as well as covers of great classics, such as "Stairway to Heaven" and "[I Can't Get No] Satisfaction". The latter will feature singers P!nk and Brandi Carlile , but Dolly revealed she is "doing everything possible" to recruit Mick Jagger to her heavyweight team.

In 2002, Parton recorded a reimagined version of “Stairway To Heaven” for her bluegrass album, Halos & Horns , and now she appears interested in collaborating with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page on her new album (via Loudersound ).

Dolly Parton initially expressed happiness at her nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but announced she was withdrawing from the voting a few days later because she believed she "didn't deserve that right," as she is a country artist. After understanding that the Hall of Fame accepts not only rock artists but also names that have made history in music, Dolly reversed her decision and said she accepted her nomination .
