Dokken performs socially distanced concert in Arkansas; watch

“We are the only show happening in the entire world,” says vocalist Don Dokken.

Dokken performed their second show last Saturday, the 18th, in the city of Hot Springs, in the American state of Arkansas .

“We are the only show happening in the entire world,” stated vocalist Don Dokken during the performance, which sought to respect the social distancing measures recommended by the World Health Organization. In recent weeks, the United States has not set a good example of events that actually respected the recommendations .

“I’m taking a risk doing these shows. I know that. But what are you going to do?” Don said in an interview with Greg Pantos of SongFacts . “My girlfriend makes me put on the gloves, the masks, the spray – we’re constantly spraying our hands. I try not to rub my mouth. I go to Home Depot to buy things for the house, but most of the time I’m at home. So, she’s not happy about me being on a plane. I have five or six flights in two days, so the odds are very high (…) But I have to go out and work. I want to play.”

In addition to social distancing, Dokken's recent shows have featured another novelty: guitarist Reb Beach ( Winger, Whitesnake ) is replacing Jon Levin , who preferred to refrain from performing during the pandemic.
