In-Edit Brasil festival will take place entirely online this year. The event has been held in Brazil since 2009, reaching its 13th edition in 2021.
In-Edit aims to promote the production and distribution of documentary films that feature music as a central element. The festival originated in Barcelona in 2003 and is now held in several countries, including Spain, Chile, Greece, and the Netherlands.
Among the extensive program of documentaries, the Finnish film Pakko Huutaa will receive a special screening. The documentary, directed by Katrina Grönholm-Kulmala, tells the story of heavy metal in Finland.
The synopsis reads as follows: “For those who don't know, heavy metal is considered an intangible cultural heritage of Finland, since the genre became popular for its strong character and is easily identifiable with aspects of the local culture. When newcomers begin to study the lyrics and learn about the world of metal, something unusual and interesting is revealed: the loudest murmurs are sometimes the softest.”
Click here to check out the documentary screening , which will take place on June 23rd at 6 PM, for only R$ 3.
