Last Thursday, the 8th, the highly anticipated documentary Chorão: Marginal Alado . During its opening weekend, the film became the most watched in Brazil, reaching first place on the main platforms where it is available ( NOW, Google Play, iTunes and YouTube Movies ).

The production won the award for best documentary at the São Paulo International Film Festival in 2019. The result of six years of research, the film is rich in personal and family archives from the life of Chorão , former vocalist of Charlie Brown Jr. , who died as a result of a cocaine overdose on March 6, 2013.

Alexandre Abrão , the musician's son, stated that he delivered "600 hours of raw audiovisual material" to those responsible for the documentary, containing "images of the shows, the trips, the band on the road, backstage, rehearsals, fights and jokes".

The performance of "Chorão: Marginal Alado" on Brazilian digital platforms surpassed that of major international releases and Oscar-nominated productions. Claro , Ricardo Falcão , stated that the film's sales performance "exceeded all expectations" the company had. "In addition to ranking among the top positions in total NOW sales during the first four days of its release, it became the first documentary of its kind to reach the top positions in overall sales," Falcão assured.
