The São Paulo-based quartet Doctor Pheabes has been on the road for 30 years
On the road since 1989 and with three albums under their belt, the São Paulo-based quartet Doctor Pheabes will open for Whitesnake , the English band considered a rock legend. The show will take place on September 25th at Km de Vantagem Hall in Belo Horizonte. Tickets are already on sale at the venue's box office and online.
Doctor Pheabes is formed by two pairs of brothers: Eduardo Parrillo (vocals), Fernando Parrillo (guitar), Fabio Ressio (bass), and Paulo Ressio (drums) . Accustomed to large shows, the band's resume includes gigs at Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza, and opening for rock giants like Guns N' Roses and the Rolling Stones. In fact, their most recent album, Army of The Sun , released in May of this year, was produced by the American Kato Khandwala , who died last year in a motorcycle accident.
Whitesnake has a true legion of fans in Brazil, an audience they began to win over at the unforgettable first edition of Rock in Rio in 1985. The show in Belo Horizonte is part of the world tour for the album "Flesh and Blood," released in May of this year. In addition to new songs, the Brazilian audience can expect a memorable show full of hits such as "Here I Go Again," "Still of the Night," "Is This Love," "Slow and Easy," "Love Ain't No Stranger," and "Crying in the Rain," among others.
Besides vocalist David Coverdale , who formed the band in 1978 shortly after leaving Deep Purple , Whitesnake features musicians Rob Beach and Joel Hoekstra (guitars), Tommy Aldridge (drums), Michael Devin (bass), and Michele Luppi (keyboards) .
