Reed gives his first interview since the meeting
Guns N' Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed gave his first interview since the band's reunion to LA Weekly, talking about his role in the group and heaping praise on frontman Axl Rose.
Reed said his job in the group depends on Axl and that if there's a fight in the band, he'll always side with the vocalist
“If there was any disagreement, I’ll side with him. It’s not even a matter of agreeing or disagreeing. You can keep thinking about it and end up nervous, but I know that if I ask anything that I think doesn’t make sense, he’ll explain it to me and I’ll understand everything. Axl is the one who gave me this job. It was his idea, he gave me the opportunity. He could fire me tomorrow. I try to do my best for him, my very best, all the time.”.
The keyboardist also says that Guns N' Roses is basically Axl Rose: “It doesn't matter who's playing, we work hard to make it work. When Rose picks up the microphone, then it becomes what it is: Guns N' Roses. If you don't believe that, you don't need to be there.”
