Last Friday, the 18th, the band Disturbed released their new and eighth studio album, Divisive, on digital platforms. The album is the successor to Evolution (2018) and contains the singles “Hey You” and “Unstoppable”, as well as eight other tracks.

In a press release, vocalist David Draiman stated that the album is a warning to society: “Partisan tribal warfare has become a regular part of our existence these days. It’s a huge battle. Our society has become addicted to outrage. Music is the best cure for what ails us. If only everyone would reach out and use it. There’s no better environment to forget all this bullshit than live music. We can be together and realize we have more in common than things we don’t. Acknowledge what’s happening and let’s make a change for the better.”

The American band also took advantage of the release of Divisive to promote the music video for the track "Bad Man." The song was inspired by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The video, directed by Tristan Holmes , used approximately 10,000 frames of artificial intelligence.
