Disturbed 's next album , the successor to Immortalized , released in 2015, will feature "many musical styles." The album was recorded in Las Vegas with producer Kevin Churko.
To launch their first single, the band is conducting an online poll to find out what type of music should be revealed first. “The new album is ready,” the band said. “The new album includes many styles of music. Since our last album and recent studio recordings, we’ve seen a lot of discussion about the evolution of our music and we’ve decided to embrace the debate. For our next single, what type of music do you want it to be?”

Guitarist Dan Donegan The Pulse Of Radio about the recording process: “We definitely go into the studio very well prepared. We never go into the studio unless we feel like we do now, that with these songs we’ve recorded, we’d have an album we’re proud of and excited about. We put everything under the microscope and examine it to make sure we’re prepared. We don’t like to waste time. We go in to work and try to make the best album possible.”
