Confirmed for Best of Blues and Rock 2023, Malvada is a welcome addition to the Brazilian rock scene. In just three years, the band has already released its first album, toured with major names in Brazilian heavy metal, and performed at Rock In Rio 2022.
Formed in March 2020, Malvada plays empowering hard rock, with the unique feature of using lyrics in Portuguese. The band consists of Angel Sberse , whose powerful voice earned her successful appearances on The Voice Brasil 2020 and Canta Comigo 2022, Bruna Tsuruda on guitar, Marina Langer on bass, and Juliana Salgado on drums.
Currently, the group continues touring to promote A Noite Vai Ferver, their debut album, released in August 2021 by Shinigami Records. On the album, the band presents a sound influenced by 1980s rock and roll, from sensual lyrics to a raw sound.
Increasingly gaining ground, the band had the opportunity to perform at Rock in Rio 2022 as an attraction on the Rock District stage on Saturday, September 3rd. Since then, the band has also released the new song "Perfeito Imperfeito" (Perfect Imperfect), with a new sound and visual identity, along with the musical and artistic direction of Giu Daga, winner of three Grammy Awards.
Best of Blues and Rock festival , Malvada will perform on Friday, June 2nd, the same day that Tom Morello and Extreme headline.
