A major revelation in modern French metal, Disconnected has released the music video for the single "King of the World," which is part of the band's upcoming album, We Are Disconnected .
The video was filmed at the Espace Argence Hall in Troyes and features actor Joseph de Gabriel portraying the "king of the world." The clip was directed by Laurent Hart and produced by Antoine de Montremy .
In a statement, Disconnected spoke about “King Of The World”: “This song explores a theme that everyone can relate to. We’ve all encountered a son of a bitch at some point in our lives, someone who’s convinced they’re better than you, someone who has power over you.”
“This song is for all those who feel trapped in this inferior position in relation to others. It’s like a cry in a silent night of submission. There’s always a way to overcome despair. If you try, perhaps fear will change sides. Once again, it’s about self-respect and believing in your own strength,” they conclude.
Disconnected has confirmed appearances at the Hellfest , Wacken Open Air , and Barcelona Metal Fest in 2022. The band also plans to extend its tour to South America.
