The band will perform in Belém, Limeira, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro
DRI (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) will tour Latin America in 2018 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 4 Of a Kind , the band's fourth studio album. The tour will include four shows in Brazil: in Belém on April 11th, in Limeira on April 13th, in São Paulo on April 14th, and in Rio de Janeiro on April 15th.
4 Of a Kind was released between March and April 1988, and it was a work that consolidated DRI as part of the Thrash Metal movement. It was produced by Bill Metoyer and the band's guitarist, Spike Cassidy. The lineup that played on the LP was the longest-lasting, with Kurt Brecht (vocals), Cassidy, Josh Pappé (bass), and Felix Griffin (drums). All of them also participated in the albums Crossover (1987) and Thrash Zone (1989). Some of the most successful songs from the album are “All For Nothing”, “Manifest Destiny”, “Gone Too Long”, “Do the Dream”, and “Shut-Up!”.
The current DRI lineup features Brecht and Cassidy accompanied by Walter “Monsta” Ryan (drums) and Greg Orr (bass). For the Limeira and São Paulo shows, there will be a special appearance by the project Not SOD – First Banging Maniacs – “Fale Português Ou Morra” (Speak Portuguese or Die), playing the SOD classic, Speak English Or Die . The group is led by João Gordo (vocals), accompanied by Cleber Orsioli (guitar), Guilherme Martim (drums), and original SOD member Danny Lilker (bass).
