The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund, in partnership with Rolling Live Studios, a celebration for Dio's birthday on July 10th.
The global event, which takes place every year, will be virtual and will bring together celebrities and fans from around the world to honor the singer. The celebration will begin at 6 PM (Brasilia time) at this link and will feature names such as Rob Halford, Sammy Hagar, Lzzy Hale, Tony Iommi, Vinny Appice and more. Tickets are available starting at R$ 20.
Other names that will be present are: Joey Belladonna, Chuck Billy, Gilby Clarke, Lita Ford, Glenn Hughes, Glen Sobel, Lajon Witherspoon and Brent Woods , among others. Eddie Trunk and Matt Pinfield will be present during the broadcast, conducting interviews with artists and also with Dio's producer, Wyn Davis , and Ronnie's widow and longtime manager, Wendy Dio.
The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund , dedicated to cancer prevention, research, and education, has raised over $2 million in its history. The organization's last in-person event was its 10th Anniversary Gala , held at the Avalon in Hollywood in February 2020 .
