The tour is expected to include a stop in Brazil

Ronnie James Dio's widow, Wendy Dio, revealed to Rolling Stone today that the Dio hologram, which made its debut at the Wacken festival last year, will go on a world tour. The tour, titled "Dio Returns," has already revealed a series of dates in Europe and will also visit South America, Asia, and Australia.

Dates in South America have not been revealed, but the tour poster (see below) already shows that the hologram is expected to visit Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and Colombia.

The show will showcase various phases of Dio's career and will feature musicians who were part of the band Dio Disciples: guitarist Craig Goldy, drummer Simon Wright, keyboardist Scott Warren, and bassist Bjorn Englen.

Wendy told Rolling Stone: “Ronnie always wanted to experiment with new ideas on stage, and he was a huge Disney fan. Having said that, I’m sure he would give us his blessing for this hologram project. It gives fans the chance to see Ronnie and his performance, the opportunity to see him again, and for fans who have never seen him, it gives them the chance to see him for the first time. We hope everyone enjoys the show that we worked so hard to put together.”

The European tour of "Dio Returns" will take place in December, and the show is expected to arrive in Brazil in 2018.
