The band hadn't released new work in 7 years.

Eonian is the name of the new album from the Norwegian band Dimmu Borgir, and it will be released on May 4th via Nuclear Blast, featuring 10 tracks.

In 2018, Dimmu Borgir celebrates 25 years in the business, and according to vocalist Shagrath, “Eonia represents the illusion of time, everything that is and always has been (…) It’s a tribute to our own history and the history of Norwegian Black Metal.”

Before the album's release, the band will release the single "Interdimensional Summit" on vinyl on February 23rd.

The last studio album from the Symphonic Black Metal band was Abrahadabra .
