Dimmu Borgir's new album will be released on May 4th.
Norwegian band Dimmu Borgir have released the music video for their song "Council Of Wolves And Snakes," from their new album Eonian , which will be released on May 4th by Nuclear Blast.
Vocalist Shagrath said: “It’s a song that stands out from the rest of the album; it’s Dimmu Borgir going in a more experimental direction, but you can also find a lot of Black Metal inspiration. We’re a band that has never been afraid to try new directions, and artistically, this is a very interesting and different track.”
Dimmu Borgir's last album of original material was Abrahadabra, released in 2010. Following that, the band released the DVD Forces Of The Northern Night in 2017, which is a recording of a concert in Norway with an orchestra and choir, as well as a performance at Wacken Open Air in 2012.
Regarding the musical direction of the band's new album, guitarist Silenoz said: “I think it’s safe to say that [the parts that are] more epic and majestic, are more epic and majestic. And the same goes for the brutal Dimmu sound and also the more primitive and Black Metal sound, it’s more black metal this time. So you’ll have the most extreme of each part that we’re known for.”
