Dimebag Darrell (08/20/1966 – 12/08/2004)
This week's Top 11 is the most different we've ever had. We wanted to make a list that honored Dimebag Darrell, to remember the guitarist's greatest moments on his birthday, August 20th. But we've already talked too much about riffs; everyone knows Pantera's greatest riffs, and everyone remembers their own personal favorite moment from the guitarist.
So we did things differently. This week, we unearthed a 1993 Guitar World in which the musician listed the 12 songs that most influenced him throughout his life. This week, not only was the list compiled by Dimebag, but we made an exception in the name of the legend, and the Top 11 became the Top 12.
Check out Dimebag's selection below and remember one of the greatest guitarists Metal has ever had!
