Digão , lead singer of Raimundos , explained his political stance after the controversy involving Pe Lu , from Restart , who called him a "Bozo voter" in reference to President Jair Bolsonaro , and Tico Santa Cruz in a major dispute about supposedly conservative rock musicians.
Ramones Fans channel , the singer spoke out against the corruption that “screws up the country” and in favor of justice in Brazil. “People were calling me a ‘reactionary rocker,’ you know? I respect my colleagues and everyone’s political position. You believe in the left, fine, I respect you,” he explained. “I don’t believe in it, that’s the point. I’m not falling for that scam. I never praised Bolsonaro, I never posted anything in his favor… I don’t want to know whose fault it is. The blame isn’t on just one person, the blame lies with the whole system.”
Digão also acknowledged that he lacks in-depth technical knowledge of politics, but he has little interest in changing that. “I’m not going to get a PhD in something that involves corruption, rottenness… Sorry, there’s no truth in politics. So I just say I don’t like it, you understand? That’s all,” he continued. “I don’t want to debate politically with anyone.”
