Myles Goodwyn, vocalist and founder of April Wine, dies at age 75

The artist had been with the band since its founding in 1969

Myles Goodwyn , vocalist and founding member of the Canadian rock band April Wine , passed away last Sunday, the 3rd, at the age of 75.

The news was given by the musician's publicist, Eric Alper , directly to the American Rolling Stone . In his statement, Alper stressed that "no details about the cause of death, location or funeral details" will be revealed at this time, out of respect for the family, who have requested privacy.

On social media, the official April Wine profile made a brief post with a photo of Myles Goodwyn and the caption: "See you later, old friend.". 

Goodwyn remained with the band for five decades, since its founding in 1969. In March he participated in his last show with the group, stating that that lifestyle was no longer "healthy" for him. The vocalist continued to help the band compose for their next album, according to CBC .
