Brazilian guitarist Celso Kim Vecchione , co-founder of the band Made in Brazil , has died at the age of 74. The information was confirmed by the musician's brother, Oswaldo Vecchione , on social media.

In the post about the passing of his younger brother (via Igor Miranda ), Oswaldo did not disclose the cause of death. “HE RESTED! My dear little brother rested! My teacher and partner, my hero,” wrote the artist. “I ask for prayers for his soul. So much pain at this moment. Going to São Paulo, totally disoriented.”

Celso Vecchione formed the band together with his brother Oswaldo Vecchione Terra portal recalls , the project emerged in 1967 in the Pompeia neighborhood, in the western part of São Paulo. The neighborhood is also known as the birthplace of groups such as Os Mutantes, Tutti Frutti, and Rita Lee.

In 2019, Made In Brazil embarked on a tour celebrating their 52-year career. The group's lineup at the time included Oswaldo and Celso Vecchione alongside musicians Solange Blessa (backing vocals and percussion), Marcelo Frisoni (guitar), and guests Tyty Moreno (solo semi-acoustic guitar) and Markin Batera (percussion).
