“Sorceress” will be released on September 30th
Opeth today released details of their upcoming release, “Sorceress”. The band will release their 12th studio album on September 30th, and has already revealed the tracklist and album cover.
The band's leader, Mikael Åkerfeldt, commented on the work:
“I think that once again we’ve taken a step forward. Or sideways. Or backward. Somewhere? It’s different! It’s extremely diverse. And if I may say so, extremely good. I feel entitled to say this since I know the band better than anyone on the planet. Besides, I can always disconnect and listen to the album like a fan (…) It’s my favorite in our discography, of course. That’s how it should be, right? It’s new and bold, progressive and reheated. Heavy and calm. Exactly the way we like it.”.
