Vaaver had been in Destruction since 2010.
German thrash metal giants Destruction have announced that drummer Vaaver is no longer part of the band.
Vaaver had already taken a break in 2015, being temporarily replaced by Randy Black (Primal Fear, Annihilator) for the birth of his second child, and now he is leaving the band "for family reasons".
Vaaver will fulfill the scheduled shows until March, and Randy Black will fill in the remaining ones until a new drummer is recruited.
In 2016, vocalist and bassist Schmier said: “He (Vaaver) is a strong drummer, the best drummer we’ve ever had, and he also has a good personality that really fits the band. On the other hand, he’s a father and lives in Poland, so it’s sometimes complicated. So we don’t know if he’ll stay in the band forever. I hope so!”
