Demi Lovato says working with Nita Strauss is "empowering": "I learn every day."

“I admire her for being such a powerful guitarist in a field dominated by men,” said the singer.

Nita Strauss has already spoken about her decision to join Demi Lovato . In an interview with Wikimetal, she said she was "loving" the new opportunity, but it was Demi herself who recently commented on the partnership.

an email response to Variety

“Once it became clear what sound my new album, Holy Fvck , was taking, I knew I wanted to put together a touring band that was not only highly skilled with live instruments, but also knew how to have fun on stage and were performers themselves,” Demi explained. “Nita fits the description and more – we have so much fun in rehearsals and on stage. My band is all women, which is empowering for me.”

“Working with Nita helped me regain my guitar skills, and she’s someone I learn from every day. I admire her for being such a powerful guitarist in a field dominated by men,” he concluded.

Lovato, who began her career as an actress and singer at Disney , had some pop-rock albums in her teens and decided to return to her roots and double down on her most recent album, Holy Fvck . Mad Sound , our website specializing in alternative and independent music, was present at Demi Lovato's show in São Paulo and evaluated the performance of the singer and her band, which currently includes Nita Strauss.

Nita Strauss is “happy” working with Demi Lovato.

In an interview with Wikimetal Alice Cooper bandmates are too. "The most important thing is to be confident and happy with your own choices," she explained.

She also commented on the criticism she received online and the questions about switching from metal to a singer who made a career in pop music. “Many people have difficulty accepting this change. And that’s okay too. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think the only time it really crosses the line is when you’re rude, swearing, and being intolerant. That’s never acceptable, but it’s also just part of life. There are keyboard warriors on the internet now, they say what they want with confidence,” she pointed out.

Furthermore, Nita assured in another interview that her departure from Alice Cooper doesn't seem permanent and that nobody in the band feels like it's a farewell.

“When I did my last shows with Alice, we had what he called a ‘hiatus dinner,’ where he said, ‘We wish you the best, we love you, you’re welcome back.’ They didn’t slam the door in my face and throw away the key, I’m just stepping away for a while,” she assured.
