Demi Lovato has shown herself to be a fan of rock, especially with the change in sound and the addition of Nita Strauss to her band . And now the pop singer reveals she is also a fan of black metal.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where she introduced the band's new lineup for the first time, the singer recounted her experience attending a concert in 2007 when she was 14 years old. The band performing was Dimmu Borgir , the iconic Norwegian symphonic black metal band.

Demi, who was just a child, was right in the area of the audience where the "mosh pit," or the famous punk circle, was happening, and she needed to find a way out: "I was enjoying the show, but I happened to be in the center, where the 'mosh pit' happens. Everyone there was, like… grown men! And I was a 14-year-old girl. So I had to climb my way over and surf the crowd to get to the front of the stage. And I lost my shoe in the process. It was a great moment."

In a 2008 interview with MTV ( via Blabbermouth ), Demi Lovato had already mentioned Dimmu Borgir, Lamb of God , and Job for a Cowboy as some of her favorite bands.

Demi Lovato will release the follow-up to Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over , the album HOLY FVCK, on August 19th.
