Deicide's new album will be released in September
Overtures Of Blasphemy is the name of the new album by Deicide , which will be released on September 14th by Century Media.
The successor to In The Minds Of Evil was produced by Jason Suecof, who has previously worked with The Black Dahlia Murder and Trivium . Vocalist Glen Benton spoke about the album:
“This album came together over time, which means we didn’t want to rush it. Some people may remember an interview where Steve Asheim said, ‘The material is ready, but it’s not quite there yet.’ That was the starting point for when this album really began to take shape and the songs became what they are now – complete, compact, and effective.”
As the band progressed, the writing process and several other processes made the album and the band stronger. The result is Overtures Of Blasphemy , perhaps their strongest release to date.
Jason Suecoff lent his considerable talents and attention to detail to make the musical accompaniment the best it could be and the final mix as sonorous and brutal as possible. A laborious process, but well worth the time and effort.”
