Deftones confirms new album and releases first unreleased track; find out here

The band has revealed the name, release date, cover art, and tracklist, as well as the title track of the album

The mystery is over! After their social media blackout , Deftones finally confirmed they will be releasing a new album and, to celebrate, released the title track.

Titled Ohms , the successor to Gore (2016) will be released on September 25th. The album was produced by Terry Date , who worked with the group on some classics such as Around the Fur , White Pony and the self-titled album.

Speaking about the new release, vocalist Chino Moreno said: “When you’ve made several albums with the same people, everyone needs to be engaged. We learned that the hard way. A perfect example is Core, when Stef [ Stephen Carpenter , guitarist] basically admitted, like, ‘I didn’t do anything on that album.’ That wasn’t because I didn’t want him – my favorite Deftones song ideas are the ones he led.”

Now, according to Moreno, it was different, and he revealed that Ohms had a collaborative creative process with all the band members.

Deftones also released the cover art and tracklist for the album. Check it all out below, after the music video for the new track “Ohms”
