In an interview with the Chilean radio program Radio Futuro , guitarist Phil Collen confirmed that Def Leppard has plans to perform in South America, and that there is a possibility of bringing at least one other major act along.
Currently, the band is preparing to tour the United States along with Mötley Crüe , Poison, and Joan Jett . When asked about the possibility of Def Leppard performing in South America, Collen replied:
“Absolutely. Obviously, this year we’re touring the US with Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Joan Jett, and that starts in a few weeks. But the tour will last at least three years because of the album . We’ll be doing North America this year and definitely in Europe next summer. And after that, South America, Australia, and Japan. We hope to perform in those places next year.”
Phil Collen was then asked if the whole package – Mötley Crüe, Joan Jett and Poison – would be performing in those other countries alongside Def Leppard, to which he said: “We’re talking about it. Of course, I can say ‘Yes, let’s do it’, but we have to ask them first. But I think Mötley Crüe has offered, so hopefully everyone accepts – Joan Jett and Poison. It will be amazing.”
