According to the British newspaper The Mirror, Def Leppard is considering initiating legal action against the boy band One Direction for alleged plagiarism of the classic song " Pour Some Sugar On Me ." The plagiarized song is said to be the title track of One Direction's third album, " Midnight Memories ."
A source close to Def Leppard released the following statement: “These cases can take weeks to resolve, as we're not talking about something insignificant. One Direction's album is selling millions, and if the title track becomes a single, it could generate even more money. Everyone has been silent so far, but it's clear that the two songs are similar, which was enough for Def Leppard's advisors to start activating their legal team.”
