Vivian Campbell says she is undergoing treatment
Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell said yesterday that he is currently undergoing cancer treatment. Campbell said he released the news so that his fans wouldn't be alarmed by his appearance in the coming months.
Campbell is in his second month of treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma, which was diagnosed early due to a cough. Chemotherapy is expected to last six months in total, and the guitarist says he still intends to go on tour on June 21st with Def Leppard.
Campbell said his family and bandmates have been very supportive. The guitarist even joked about announcing his illness: “I wanted to announce it because my hairstyle and I are going on tour, and I don’t want anyone to be so shocked that they want their money back. It’s simply an economic issue.”.
