Spotify subscribers received a rather unpleasant email this week. In a statement, the company announced that the monthly price of the platform will be adjusted starting April 30, 2021, increasing the price of previous plans.

Many users of the streaming service expressed dissatisfaction with the price change, using social media to say they were considering switching to an alternative platform.

Taking advantage of this scenario, Deezer wasted no time and sent an email to its subscribers written in the same format as Spotify's, mocking the competition. The opening paragraph of the message reads:

"Hello,

Starting April 30, 2021,

We are informing you that we will not change anything in your plan. Nothing. Not a single thing. Absolutely nothing. Not a single comma. Not a single real more. Not a single cent more. Zero. Not a single penny.

The email goes on to assure subscribers that the Deezer subscription price will remain the same "all year long," and takes a jab at the rival platform in the last paragraph: "If any of your friends have received a similar email with slightly different wording, we recommend they switch to Deezer immediately."
