The band works with producer Bob Ezrin
In an interview with 100% Rock Magazine, Ian Gillan said that the new Deep Purple will take a new direction. Without mentioning specific changes, Gillan says the album will be very diverse and difficult to categorize.
Gillan said the entire album was written and recorded in Nashville, where producer Bob Ezrin lives. Ezrin has previously worked with artists such as Alice Cooper, Kiss, and Pink Floyd.
The band recently announced that the CD is scheduled for release on April 26th in Europe. The album will be the band's first since "Rapture of the Deep" in 2005. Watch the album teaser below:
