The initiative aims to encourage the study of music.
Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice has announced he will be giving free drum lessons in Berkshire, England, next Saturday. The initiative is part of Learn To Play Day, an event promoting music learning, organized by art institutions and instrument shops.
Paice will be giving a full-day class at the DrumWright store, where he promises to teach his favorite techniques, including one-handed snare drumming. There is no need to pay or reserve a spot.
Deep Purple has stated that a new album should be released later this year. Deep Purple's last album, "Now What?!", was released in April 2013.
