Deep Purple has officially announced the release of their 21st album. Titled Whoosh!, the album will be released on June 12th.
The album was produced by Canadian Bob Ezrin , who has worked with Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd , and Kiss , and produced Deep Purple's latest albums, InFinite (2017) and Now What?! (2013).
"Deep Purple is exploring various directions on this album, letting their creativity flow," says a statement from the band about the release.
The statement also says: “'Deep Purple is putting the Deep back into Purple' was the studio's somewhat playful motto after the first songs made it clear that Ezrin and Purple were on track to create an album that transcended time, while expressing their resentment about the current state of the world and addressing all generations.”
