"The Magic of Christmas Day (God Bless Us Everyone)" became a hit on Celine Dion 's 1998 Christmas album, These Are Special Times , but it all started with a song Dee Snider wrote for his wife. Now, the singer has finally recorded the song.

With the help of Lzzy Hale , vocalist of Halestorm , Dee Snider brought to life the song he wrote in the 90s as a gift for his wife, Suzette . When releasing the version, he explained that he had no plans to release the track, but it ended up being a good deal to give it to Celine Dion, since the album has already sold 14 million copies worldwide.

“When I was given the idea to finally record the song, I knew I needed someone to help me create an amazing duet,” he said, explaining the collaboration with the Halestorm vocalist.

Speaking about the track, Lzzy Hale thanked Dee Snider: “Thank you so much for having me. And considering that everyone will have a very different Christmas in 2020, I hope this song brings happiness and a smile to everyone's face. God bless everyone!”
