Death To All , a tribute project/tour featuring former members of the American band Death , announces a tour in Brazil in January 2026 celebrating the classic albums Spiritual Healing and Symbolic , which respectively celebrate 35 and 30 years since their official release in the 1990s.
Overload is producing four dates: Porto Alegre (January 20th at Opinião), Curitiba (January 21st at Tork n Roll), São Paulo (January 24th at Carioca Club), and Belo Horizonte (January 25th at Mister Rock). Tickets are already on sale.
Death to All features Gene Hoglan (drummer on 1993's Individual Thought Patterns 1995's Symbolic Steve DiGiorgio (bassist on Human and Individual Thought Patterns ), and Bobby Koelble (guitarist on Symbolic ), as well as Max Phelps ( Exist , ex- Cynic ) on guitar and vocals.
“The time has come to celebrate some milestones in Death’s catalog,” Hoglan declares. “It’s been 30 years since Symbolic and 35 years since Spiritual Healing ! Two very different eras, but equally important for Death. It will be a pleasure to represent these two albums,” he adds. “It will be an incredible night honoring the great Chuck Schuldiner , as only Death to All knows how to do.”
Symbolic was Death's sixth studio album, released in March 1995 by Roadrunner Records. The album represents a transition in the band's sound, maintaining elements of technical death metal but incorporating progressiveness, more melodies, and more elaborate structures. "Crystal Mountain," "Symbolic," "Perennial Quest," "Empty Words," and "1,000 Eyes" are highlights of this record.
Spiritual Healing was Death's third album, released in February 1990. Instead of focusing on visceral horror (gore and macabre themes) as in the first two albums, the lyrics here began to deal with social problems, such as genetics, televangelism, mental illness, and physical disability. Musically, there is also an evolution: more technical riffs, more present melodies, variations in tempo, more "melodic" parts interspersed with aggression.
